World Wide Man Tour is a piece on the pressures of being a woman in today’s society.
We are told that we need to be financially independent, have great careers, and also get married and have children—all before 35, when our eggs go bad. How exactly are we supposed to make that happen?
World Wide Man Tour follows our protagonist, Marina, as she puts her full “effort” into trying to fit into this expectation and “have it all” on a strict timeline. Marina redirects her career ambition into “expanding” her dating market! She buys a ticket and travels the world! Her journey is a fun, yet introspective, call to adventure filled with many twists and turns along the way. In the end, she just doesn’t “make it” and is forced to find her own version of happiness.
This is a story about the new female. She is a business woman, who takes so-called “problems” and faces them head on in innovative and brave new ways. She isn't afraid of going after what she wants. Sometimes you have to try the wrong way to get to the right way and learn a lot about yourself and the world along the way!
This story is for the woman that finds herself successful in her career but losing in love. Women are rising in education, and the workplace, but more and more are staying single for much longer—this is our story! My hope is that this story inspires and empowers women all over the world to go and experience the world. I want women to know that it’s OK to want it “all” and know that they are not alone. I want them to take comfort in the knowledge that it will all work out when we surrender to the journey. As impossible as that may seem, when we let go, everything happens!
