Walk Away

Walk Away

ROBERT MCGUIRE is a homeless street person who one day just walked off the job and out of the world to live on the streets. Some say he had an obvious breakdown, others say he left when he could not solve a child’s murder case that is still pending. His partner JAKE BRENNAN can’t get that event out of his head either. McGuire just walked out on his family and seemingly gave up on life. He goes to live in a big state park where the child was murdered and the suspect is said to frequent. But after a few years McGuire has resurfaced and has been seen by other police officers a lot more. Seems that Brennan has been leaving food items to feed his old partner on a park bench and McGuire has been providing clues to crimes in the area. What’s certain is this McGuire is searching for the child’s murderer still. We see evidence and scenes of him trying to find the perpetrator.

One day as Brennan is putting food on the park bench McGuire comes out and talks to him very briefly. “I’m better off out here” he says. Before Brennan can engage him McGuire is gone, but not before he drops a bag on the ground. Upon examination Brennan has found clues and evidence of local crimes and also where the criminals are tied up in the park. This sort of vigilante justice is not right for Brennan but he is torn about it. He can either forcibly bring in his old partner or let him work out his pain this way. And in a strange way he is helping the Police still.

LESLIE MCGUIRE is Robert’s estranged wife, she won’t give up on him and has tried to get him help. It’s tough for her, she knows he has gone over the edge and like Brennan wants to reach out to help him. He has said divorce him , she and her children are torn apart by his leaving.

STREET LIFE deals with a police officer’s pain and his inability to forgive himself for being human. The series will show McGuire’s need to heal and try to get back to his family who still loves him and also try to catch the murderer. He can’t help but also solve other crimes and occasionally give advice to his old partner and other police who seek his council.

The only way to solve a murder is to live the life.
