Undercover deals with various police undercover operations that no one knows about in order to catch criminals in the act. The LOST PRECINICT nicknamed for the work they do is loaded with some interesting characters that work there. It is a busy place. We see police officers working on the street but we also are bought into the drama of the undercover detective world. We often don’t know who they are till we are in the middle of many an operation. We begin to recognize some of the undercover detectives after a while but it’s tough because they are so convincing in their depiction of the nefarious characters we are exposed to.
In many businesses some are long range stings and others are posing as willing victims. Meet WILLIE BROADWAY BOURBON a cop with an ability to masquerade as anyone. His nickname Broadway describes his acting skills, he loves to get in character and play whatever role he needs to. FANNY WILBUR is another gifted undercover cop. She loves to make a bust and play the innocent victim. There are many others and you‘ll never who they are till they need to make their presence known. The chief MARTIN GRODY is a man who appreciates his talented undercover guys and gals but he genuinely cares for them. CHASE GUNDESON is another undercover veteran his wife LOLA is always afraid of his doing this work and she makes sure he knows.
GINA SMITH is a local acting teacher who is occasionally brought in to help guide the officers in their thespian pursuits to catch the bad guys. At the Captains request she occasionally holds class or goes over character technique on how to approach a role, she might even have the various officers’ work on a scene from a play. The captain or chief lets this occur even though he tries not to let her in on a current sting operation. There is an attraction between Willie and Gina. How it plays out is an interesting dilemma as he can’t let her know where or what he is doing.
We get into very dangerous situations as the undercover officers come close at times to being exposed and risking their lives. We witness family situations, crisis, police breakdowns, tension and some fairly funny arrests
